Maserati’s automatic version of the GranTurismo S is a true wonder to behold. What separates this car from its competitors is the array of technologies used and the innovation in engineering that have been undertaken. The first area that the new and used Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic excels in is the cars’ gearbox, which operates using a six speed transmission. The gearbox really displays its engine power benefit during low revs and enables change to be made up to 7,200 rpm; match by no other competitor. With four different functions available that include Auto Normal, Sport, ICE and Manual, drivers really are in total control of the GranTurismo S Automatic. Accompanying the innovation in gearbox design is the cars’ engine, which is of the 8 cylinder, 4691 cc type. With a total output of 440 BHP, this Maserati is one that delivers where others fail. A total of 490 Nm toque at 4,750 revs per minute is produced and with the help of two overhead camshafts and 4 cylinders that are managed by hydraulic tappets, the engine in the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic is very much an advanced production. As for the cars’ suspension, the vehicle incorporates wishbone suspension (front and rear) and also comes with the “Skyhook” system, which uses shock absorbers to adjust the damping on a regular basis (the system is able to decide what the most effective level of damping is). The final element of innovation in this Maserati car is the chassis, which enables the vehicle to have excellent reactions due to the units’ weight distribution (virtually 50/50 between front and back). So it is clearly evident that it is not only the exterior looks of the GranTurismo S Automatic that stands out. A visually stunning vehicle nonetheless, this Maserati delivers in so many aspects.
When you talk about the racetrack or sports cars in general, you will no doubt have discussed Lotus cars and what they bring to both industries. And one particular Lotus model that may have been a topic of discussion is the Lotus 2-Eleven. Offering extreme acceleration and unmistakable Lotus handling, the 2-Eleven is an aggressive and track-worthy competitor that stands out from the rest of the competition. Lightening quick and with super quick reactions, this is one Lotus car that will definitely make the history books. In summary, it defines what a sports car really is and provides the perfect cross between a racing car and a high performance road vehicle. Extreme performance is how Lotus officially describe the car and comment on its “world class” characteristics. Using the 192 PS engine from Toyota, the 2-Eleven is highly customisable meaning that every unit is unique. What this also means is that you’re new or used Lotus 2-Eleven car can be tailored to that of the racing track or the bump and grind of the UK’s city / country roads. It is, without doubt, a supercar of the highest order and one that has delivered so much promise. Most drivers tend to opt for the racing track as opposed to the city, but this is quite understandable given the nature of the exterior and the different options that are available as extras. As noted above, the Lotus 2-Eleven uses the 192 PS engine from Toyota (192PS 2ZZ-GE engine in full) that is built into an light and compact aluminium construction. Incorporated into this is Lotus’ T4e engine management system as well as electronic ignition and throttle control and multi point sequential fuel injection. So from the description above, it is clear to see that the 2-Eleven is one of the leaders in its class and is yet another classy addition to the Lotus range of cars.
To quote an Audi sales rep, “the Q7 is an absolute beast of a machine and is definitely the King Kong of the 4×4’s”. Looking at the vehicle in the flesh, it would be hard to disagree with this statement because the Audi Q7 is without doubt one of the best in its class. Versatile and luxurious, the Q7 delivers where so many fail. It oozes with class and style, which brings it in line with the rest of the new and used Audi cars in the range. Too many Aston Martin fans, the DB9 is the vehicle of choice thanks to its sublime exterior and interior values as well as the remarkable performance of the cars’ engine. Comfort and refinement are very much on the agenda and a used Aston Martin or a brand new version (if you are lucky enough to be able to afford one) will make for a sense of achievement. Its character is truly unique and like no other automobile in the world. The DB9 is one of the first models that you think of when the subject of Aston Martin arises in conversation and it really is one of those “special” cars. The used Aston Martin marketplace offers some alternatives to non-brand new buyers, but for this type of car, buying from an authorised dealership is a definite must. With manufacturing of the highest order, Aston Martin created a car that will almost certainly withstand the age of the future; thanks in part to its superior craftsmanship, technology and the finest components. Whatever your preferred choice of Aston Martin car may be, the DB9 will surely be near the top of the list, as it defines the true art of an Aston Martin vehicle. Some say that the DB9 is a Grand Tourer type, whilst the majority describe it as being a fully grown sports car. The most accurate portrayal is probably somewhere in-between, but in reality, it doesn’t really matter because the DB9 is a wonder to behold – regardless of its official or non-official title. Power, beauty and sold epitomise this car and it comes as no surprise that it is one of the most desired units in the UK and Europe, and that it attracts a great deal of interest from abroad as well.

These people used saab last year, and it does not have a car. Why? Had a difficult financial situation?
The crisis is no longer any mystery. And there is much more such people who used saab, and now they can not afford it. Large cars cost a lot and not just when it comes to buying a car in the living room. And its maintenance is often extremely expensive. The bigger the car, the more spending. Perhaps greater comfort, but so what, when everyone who used saab now have to cope with pedestrians or passengers on public transport. Unpleasant prospect. However, by the crisis we now can not afford to maintain large cars. Some of those who used saab now runs much smaller cars so that consuming as little fuel, spare parts were cheap. And everything out of this state of affairs is reduced. Replace all that expensive to maintain, at a slightly cheaper things or get rid of them entirely. Sometimes you have to sacrifice comfort for survival.
I have just come back from test driving one of these little cars from Vauxhall and I must say that I was might impressed with what I saw. Previously, I have been a little sceptical to say the least about used Vauxhall Corsa’s but that was due to the look and feel of the older model. This newer version is much better and something that I would strongly recommend to any small car, coupe driver. The new design has actually made the newer model appear much more robust and it is obvious that the manufacturers had this in mind when building it so that they could maybe reach out to a wider buying audience. For me anyway, it has certainly caught my eye and is one car that I would seriously consider buying if I was seriously in the market for a new vehicle. Read the rest of this entry »
Quite rightly, the Fiat Scudo van was recently voted the 2008 international van of the year. It is reported that the awards panel was especially impressed with the overall mechanics of the vehicle as they seemed to consider passenger transports. Personally, my favourite part of this remarkable van is the new braking system as it incorporates disc brakes for each section. I’m sure they did take note of this when voting though! As many of us know, the Scudo model was designed to perform similar to that of a car with exceptional comfort and driving agility. Its ease of unloading and stocking goods is also one of its remarkable features. This is mainly due to the used vans wide rear and back doors. An excellent design if I do say so myself! To top it all off, the vans fuel consumption is second to none as the engine is compliant with Euro 4 regulations. It was a more than worth winner. Read the rest of this entry »
The scrappage scheme has just become one of the most favourite topics within the motor industry and new car purchasers all across the United Kingdom. Initially focused mainly on generating sales of new cars and creating stimulus on production of new passenger vehicles, now it is starting to move towards used vans as well. The UK government offers a one thousand pounds discount to new van buyers provided that drivers trade in their minimum 10 year-old vans. Companies producing solely vans as well as those having vans as part of their offer have begun their competition for clients too. Depending on the car producer, various van sales options may apply. Most of them would offer buyers a new van and some one thousand pounds through to several thousands pounds discount. Read the rest of this entry »
The personal contract purchase, PCP in short, is one of the most popular choices within the car credit option and motor financing due to its flexibility, low initial commitment of deposit, low amounts of monthly repayments and a guaranteed value of the vehicle at the very end of the agreement. Additionally, this type of car credit is just ideal if a driver plans to change their car at the end of the contract period. Read the rest of this entry »
