Normally you would expect to find the best finance deals for cars only with the purchase of a new car and not a used car. However, I recently paid a quick visit to my local Honda garage and found that there were some absolutely cracking finance offers on display for a wide range of used cars. These offers consisted of very low APR rates, which are normally the benchmark for any kind of agreement. I was always of the impression that in order to get a competitive credit package, you would need to buy a brand new vehicle. However, it seems the people at Honda have had other ideas and are offering buyers the chance to obtain finance for cars bought from them – regardless of whether or not it is new or used. I think that this is a wonderful idea and will no doubt increase sales numbers and give Honda a boost within the marketplace. People will be might impressed with what is available when they visit their local showroom. In fact, if my memory serves me right – they, like many other big manufacturers, currently have quite an aggressive marketing strategy promoting these new offers to potential customers. TV, radio and the Internet – Honda seems intent on cornering the used cars market by the end of 2008. I say good luck to them as I have always found their cars to be extremely reliable, user friendly and efficient. Too be honest though I have never bought a used car from them – it has always been new (on two occasions to be exact). So, given the promotions of today, I may just pop in again to see what I can find.

Big cities usually mean a lot of people, many new and used cars, buses and a lot of traffic congestion. The new car is designed especially for busy city centres, and thanks to its small size, it is able to get the driver to any point and be parked almost everywhere. The Aston Martin’s Cygnet is generally based on Toyota iQ and at the same time it is the result of a joint venture of Aston with the Japanese giant. Technical specifications of this tiny new car still remain a secret, but Cygnet is actually expected to share the same three cylinder petrol engine along with the innovative three-plus-one seating arrangement which can be found in the iQ. The new car by Aston Martin has earned the famous NCAP five-star crash safety rating. High safety standards combined with a low-emission highly economical engine will make the Cygnet capable of meeting stringent environmental targets for emissions and a strong competitor in the A-segment of cars. The only negative about the new car of Cygnet is the fact that it will be limited to a group of existing Aston Martin’s customers; giving them the possibility of buying their very own “luxury commuter”.
